Here’s Why:
About 6 years ago, there was a looming feeling of me wanting to do more. In my heart, I was unhappy. You know that feeling in your gut- that’s unsettling (yet you don’t know how to explain it)? Yup, that! I kept dreaming that there’s more to life than a 9-5. On the outside- everything looked peachy. I was (and still am), slaying my goals, managing huge projects, leading large teams. I was just ticking all the check-boxes for a successful career. I was literally working 18-20 hour days- I lived, ate and slept for my employer. I was stressed and unhappy…it also manifested in my health. I KNEW SOMETHING HAD TO CHANGE…I HAD TO CHANGE.
Then…one day, I remember seeing a quote from the late Dr. Myles Munroe which read “we were born to be deployed, and not employed.” That message hit me hard, but….not hard enough!
Fast forward to 2020- God literally told me to write a book. I kid you not, it was confirmed by my husband (I’ll give that story another time lol). I knew I loved journaling and I knew I loved developing others- but putting myself out there as a published author? No way! *Imposter Syndrome instantly kicked in.* I prayed, journaled and prayed some more. I then remembered the words of my father (God bless his soul)- Prudence, be a leader! I realized that I was prepared for this and already had everything I needed to succeed. Writing the book, eventually felt right. Through divine intervention and IG algorithms, God strategically allowed me to work with 2 coaches. We all need development. I took the brave step, and the book was birthed. This book- “The Everyday Leader, Becoming the Best Version of Yourself Daily” is a testimony of my journey and my purpose to help persons to discover their leadership and provide the process to lead without apology. This is my Why!
I’m still fully employed, but here’s the tea- I now wake up with so much passion and energy to serve others! I am intentional with my Why. In the words of Soca Artiste Voice, “I’m far from finished” but I am encouraged for what’s ahead, because I’m walking towards my purpose.
Now it’s your turn, tell me your big WHY for doing what you do in the comments below!

Thanks for your blog, nice to read. Do not stop.
This is truly inspiring; Thank you for all you are doing!
